As a design agency in Croydon, its always nice when we get the opportunity to work with local companies, so we were delighted when Croydon Neighbourhood Care, a local charity with a national feel as well, approached us to help with their rebrand.

Croydon Neighbourhood Care is an umbrella organisation for neighbourhood care across the London Borough of Croydon who work to to meet the needs of isolated, vulnerable and frail people within the borough, we support local neighbourhood care organisations. They were keen to embrace a more contemporary logo, but also wanted to have a feeling of coming together and an approachability and warmth to any suggestion.

Fred Design created a simple solution which involved the different shapes coming together to create a house style shape. The different colours represented the different groups of people coming together, whilst the colours were positive yet calming. They also gave a nod to the brands heritage, staying close to, but expanding on, its original pallette. The colours also allowed the logo to work with other logos under the same umbrella by utilising or adding the other colours.

For the typeface we chose the warm yet strong typeface Karbon. Its thickness and structure gave it a professional feel, yet its roundness kept it approachable and warm.

Croydon Neighbourhood Care, being a charity, also needed something that they could work with and print in-house, so we created brochure templates that would work with the logo shape as a mask to show various images. This enabled the team to create brochure covers in-house, customising the image, whilst staying consistent to the underlying brand.
